Our ultimate mission at BAI since 2010 has been to aid in the reunification or recovery of families as a waiver service provider through the New York State Bridges 2 Health Service program. Now, we’re working to broaden our efforts and hope to be providing support to both youth and adults as part of the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) program through New York State soon. Our mission will be to continue to support in the recovery of the individual and help with engagement or reengagement of the family.
Core Principles That Will Guide Our Service Delivery
We will be seeking partnerships with agencies and individuals based on care that is:
- Culturally Competent
- Flexible and Mobile
- Inclusive of Social Network
- Coordinated and Collaborative
Youth HCBS Solutions
Designed to allow children/youth to participate in a vast array of habilitative services, we will be working to provide access to a series of Medicaid funded services to help children and their families remain at home and in their community. Our services will be designed for people who would normally require a level of care provided in a more restrictive environment, such as in a long-term care facility or psychiatric inpatient care. With over 7 years of experience working with youth and families in the Brooklyn community, we will be ideally suited to work with you on a comprehensive suite of services to meet your families needs.
Adult HCBS Solutions
We are pleased to announce that soon we will be able to provide waiver services for adults as part of the expansion of HCBS programming through The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Specifically, we will be able to provide a set of comprehensive solutions for those over the age of 21 in the New York City area, in lieu of in-patient care in hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
